"Euphoria" Rules My Life
I can't stop talking about HBO's "Euphoria."
HBO's new drama Euphoria is my inspiration for The Wishlist below. I've been riding the Euphoria train before the first episode came out. I will watch Zendaya in anything. It's a disease. The first season just wrapped up, and I can't stop thinking about the show’s looks.
Euphoria's outfits and makeup are so memorable that they warrant a Sex And The City type frenzy. Its aesthetic is potent and well established for a show with one eight-episode season. Think tons of pigmented glitter eyeshadow, pants with thigh cut-outs, corsets, see-through fabric, and latex.

So much of high school is trying to fit in and wear, do, and say what everyone else is doing. Euphoria subverts that mob mentality and gives their characters distinct larger than Instagram style. It's refreshing to see a teenager with rhinestone-encrusted eyes get no strange stares from their classmates.
The makeup of the show inspired me, and I wore a hot pink cat-eye. It was a far cry from the neutral tone eyeshadow I usually wear. I loved my hot pink makeup, and I wouldn't have done that look without Euphoria. The Wishlist is dedicated to what I think the characters on Euphoria would wear. Buy them and live your best Gen-Z life.

Dream Lover - Poppy Lissiman
$125.00
If you don’t think someone on Euphoria would wear these rimless butterfly sunglasses than you’re wrong. I’ve mentioned Poppy Lissiman before, and they just dropped these brand new Dream Lover shades in pink and blue.
The lens is gradient, rimless, and adorned with gold star-shaped hardware. Do you remember the rimless sunglasses with crystals in the corner? It’s giving me heavy nostalgia vibes in reference to that trend. I could easily see Maddy or Jules wear these sunnies.
Jackie Aina Eyeshadow Palette - Sephora
$45.00
Jackie Aina is the only beauty YouTuber I consistently watch, and she just announced her new eyeshadow palette with Anastasia Beverly Hills. It’s called the Jackie Aina Eyeshadow Palette, and it has 14 shades with matte, foil, and shimmer finishes. The makeup on Euphoria is far from your casual everyday look. But if you want to dip your toe into more shimmery, colorful makeup this palette would be a good start.
Follow Euphoria’s makeup artist, Doniella Davey on Instagram for close up shots of most of the show’s looks. Take inspiration and have fun with your makeup. Soon you’ll be diving headfirst into glossy lids, glitter, and abstract eyeliner.
Rei Pants & Kiko Bra - Miaou
$325.00 & $195.00
Maddy loves a matching set and showing off her body, so I think it’s safe to say the Rei Pants and Kiko Bra set from Miaou is Euphoria certified. The Rei Pants have a low rise with spaghetti straps meeting in the front and tying in the back. It’s essentially a hip cutout with the allusion of a whale tail.
The Kiko Bra looks like a triangle bathing suit top with an obnoxiously long string that you can wrap around your waist. The top and pants together is an intense overtly sexy look, perfect for Euphoria. Another fantastic set from Miaou that I can see on the show is their Leia Corset and Lou Pants both in cow print.
Barbwire Hoop Earrings - Shami
$115.00
Hoops are a staple for anyone with a sense of style and ear piercings. The Barbwire Hoop Earrings from Shami give the classic hoop an edge. The gold is currently sold out but the silver is still available.
The jewelry in Euphoria wasn’t the star, but from what I do remember, it was either extraordinarily dainty or extremely tough. Delicate rings and necklaces or collars and chains. The Barbwire Hoop Earrings make a statement without being a scene-stealer. They also have a cherry charm necklace that Maddy would definitely have, and a butterfly necklace one I can envision Cassie wearing.
TTYA Bandeau Lace Up Side Pencil Dress - ASOS
$174.00
This lace-up snake print dress from TTYA screams Euphoria to me. There’s so much going on, the color, the print, the lace-up sides.
The only thing that isn’t very Euphoria is the length. Most of the dresses and skirts in the show (besides the winter formal episode) are mostly minis. Despite the longer hem, I can still envision Kat wearing this dress.

Ana Silky V-Neck Midi Slip Dress - Amazon
$49.90
This newsletter is a momentous one! Thanks to my annual trip around the godforsaken sun, I was given money for staying alive for a whole year. I used that money to buy stuff from my previous newsletters. I went and bought the Amazon slip dress in black, despite wanting the fuschia. I know realistically I will wear the black more. I may still purchase it in the fuschia. Only time will tell.
Despite being from an Amazon clothing line and costing under $50, the fabric feels soft and luxurious. The wonders of polyester! The Amazon reviews say the dress runs a bit big, so I figured an XL would be perf for a loose-fitting dress. It’s not as loose as I imagined it to be, but I like the fit overall. It isn’t form-fitting and grazes my body.

I threw the dress on with my white Club C Reeboks and a gold chain. I also layered it under my mesh midi dress. Both looked cute, and I can’t wait to wear this dress out.
9" Mid-Rise Skinny Jeans in Pearson Wash - Madewell
$128.00
Full disclosure I work for Madewell, and I used my sweet employee discount to buy the new 9" Mid-Rise Skinny Jeans in Pearson Wash, and I'm obsessed. You can water down denim into two categories, stretchy and stiff. I love the look of rigid denim, but I hate breaking in a pair. The 9" Mid-Rise Skinny Jeans in Pearson Wash is made with a brand new material that looks like rigid denim, but they're stretchy. So they're my ideal pair of jeans.

Photo from Madewell
They have the magic pockets in the front, which means the pockets are sewn into the jean giving a sleeker appearance. They also have a slightly distressed hem. What I'm trying to say is that this is my dream pair of jeans and I can't stop wearing them.
Attention Whore
Vivid Brights Crème Color - NYX
$10.00
Like I said in the intro, I wore a hot pink eye cat-eye last weekend. I had a ton of people in my DMs asking me what I used, so I figured it would be a perfect Attention Whore item. I used NYX’s Vivid Brights Creme Color in Love Overdose to create the look. I didn’t use a primer, and it lasted all night and didn’t fall.

A lot of the reviews say they had trouble applying the product and experiences patchiness. I applied the product with a small flat brush and had no problem. The consistency is thick, so you need more product and more pressure than you think. I had the eyeshadow on for roughly six hours, and it lightly stained my eyes, but I expected that, and it's not a deal-breaker for me.
